How the list is decided
One rule: it has to be running in the business today, paid for out of our own revenue, on live client work. Nothing is here because a vendor asked, and nothing is here on a free trial. Where a tool only earns its place for one narrow job, the note says so. Where we dropped one, it moved to Severance at the bottom rather than quietly disappearing. Nineteen of the names below run no affiliate programme at all and are listed anyway, because the roster is meant to be the truth about how the work gets done.
